I love reading stories to my nephews and niece when I go home. This is hands-down my favorite series: Skippyjon Jones by Judith Byron Schachner (she is both author and illustrator). It’s about a little Siamese kitten with a gigantic imagination and big ears who thinks he is a Chihuahua. My nephews grin ear to ear when we read it (my sister likes to read it with a Spanish accent) and I love it because I like to think his band of of desert dwelling chimichangos are real! (Available at all the major book retailers)……

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there! Or, as the Quakers here say “Significant Elders”!

Alice
I have to mention one of the greatest stores where Ba-ba bought this book, along with other great children’s books, is McLean & Eakin Bookstore in Petoskey, Michigan. You can’t go into this store without buying a ton of children’s books, and more. The staff is just great. So friendly and helpful. I love this store and town!!!! It is by far, Julia and my favorite city in northern Michigan!
